I dont see how babies are dumb. But it is wide knowledge that babys and young children tend to put bad things in their mouth. It’s part of them growing. They like checking out new tastes good and bad.. the texture. It helps them learn. We all stuck something bad in our mouths when we were little and also when we were older. Good or not. But that doesnt mean they are stupid, they just dont know better yet. Or maybe they see adults sticking cigs in their mouth so they say ohh cool another thing I can put in my mouth.

to the people defending the baby-
I doubt he cares about people on the internet talking about how dumb he is. I am pretty sure he also would not truly appreciate being given a break.
That being said…
yeah, I kind of freaked out about the germs, too.

Jesus, it’s just a baby. I dont think anyone on this sight new lemons were sour when they were just a baby so give the kid a break.

The kid obviously enjoys the taste of lemon. He’s not stupid. Even if it’s enjoyable, I think ~*~ most ~*~ people make funny faces when saboring lemons.

Who’s to say that mom/dad didn’t wipe the table prior to sitting down? Who’s to say they don’t plan on having it cleaned before they leave?

“Never mind the lemon. What about those germs? It looked like the kid was eating in a public place… on a public table that has gobs of big fingerprints. Plus, any germs that he has is being wiped onto the table via the lemon. I was almost ready to say something against the parenting (protecting their kids from unnecessary germs), but forget that- what’s upsetting is the disregard for the public health of would-be future customers who may have ended up sitting at that table before it was wiped down for the day. Not that the next customers would be like that lemonhead by actually eating off the table- but good grief- that’s EXTRA germy and I feel sorry for anyone who sat down at that table after them… Hopefully the next day they didn’t find themselves clinging to the toilet on the bathroom floor as it came out both ends. This is how germs are spread, people. Keep your little monkeys at home unless you can at least make a half-ass attempt at being sanitary.”

this is what we call building up a good immune system, otherwise as adults, we’d walk round and drop dead everytime someone nearby sneezed.
